The Animated Series' Creator Has Seen Fans' Second Season Bingo Cards — And She Has Positive Updates

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel debuts on the streaming platform soon, and fan speculation has been widespread.

Season 1 presents a diverse group of personalities living within the afterlife, sets them at odds with songs about their clashes, and builds heated competitions and emotional bonds that fuel fan obsession.

The community's expectations for season 2 differ greatly, but certain threads emerge over and over: Will a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with audience demands as the main goal," the showrunner commented earlier this year. "But I feel like me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by the production companies, which produce the series.

That might mean viewers have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how quickly season 2 moves, and how many of what they're anticipating unfolds this season.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some incredible reveals, some really cool origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about season 2 — particularly in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a few fans create a prediction grid about the new season," she says. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've actually done some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on Prime Video on October 29.
