Intensive Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Electricity Throughout Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in Ukraine
The country's power facilities have faced escalating attacks in recent weeks

Overnight, Russian aerial assaults have led to power cuts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were injured while local people in the city's east were experienced blackouts and encountered disruption to water systems, according to municipal leaders.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a different Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the southern area, as reported by regional authorities.

Moscow has escalated assaults on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while the country's government has requested "concrete actions" from partner nations to apply pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the United States, the EU and the G7 - in supplying air defence systems and enforcing penalties," he wrote in a public message.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty rockets attacked the country's power systems, describing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were laboring to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes hit energy infrastructure and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Multiple people injured in the assaults on the city have been hospitalized, according to municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region experienced intense attacks throughout the evening. A minor died and several individuals were hurt.

The assaults follow nights of air raids in the area, sections of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to spot.

Government officials told the media that Moscow was purposely seeking to demolish the national power system, with attacks already disrupting gas facilities.

Officials stated energy workers and authorities were preparing for further attacks.
